San Giovannello House is located in the characteristic Jewish quarter of Giudecca, where the church of San Giovannello, an ancient early Christian basilica, stands out. It is a very peculiar church where religious services are celebrated in the open air, as the roof is missing: for this reason it is a very recommended destination for tourists during their stay in Ortigia.
Entering you access the super-equipped kitchen with a peninsula with 4 stools. The kitchen has 4 induction burners, electric kettle, fridge with freezer, microwave / grill. In the kitchen you will also find a Smart TV and a balcony overlooking the square, with views of the church of San Giovannello.
The entrance also leads to a hallway that divides the two bedrooms: the first is furnished with a double bed and open wardrobe and has a balcony overlooking the alley; in the second bedroom you will find 2 twin beds (which can also be joined to have a queen size bed according to our guests’ needs), an open wardrobe and a balcony with a view of the square and the church. Both rooms are air conditioned.
The neighborhood where the house is located is the ancient Jewish quarter of Giudecca, full of very characteristic pedestrian alleys. Near the house you will find supermarkets, restaurants, bars, tobacconists, pharmacy. A few steps from the house is the puppet museum and theater where you can watch the shows as well as the process of creating Sicilian puppets. Nearby are also the ancient Jewish baths, and at about 500 meters you reach the two points where you can access the sea: Forte Vigliena and the small beach of Calarossa.
In the same building there is another apartment (Appartamento San Giovannello with terrace), ideal for groups of friends or families traveling together!
