Our house is located inside the 18th-century Palazzo Pulvirenti, a renovated noble palace overlooking Piazza Casa Professa, where the homonymous Baroque church also known as Chiesa del Gesù, one of the most beautiful and evocative of Palermo, stands.
The apartment is on the ground floor, with wonderful ceiling beams and stone walls that give space and height to the rooms. Together with the arches, the beams and the stone are all original elements of the era.
From the entrance you enter the living room with kitchenette; from here, through a suggestive ancient door, you enter the first double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower. The first bedroom leads to the second bedroom which also has an en-suite bathroom: this room is made special by a particular floor-to-ceiling glass that highlights the ancient majolica and stone. The rooms are communicating, and in each room there are built-in wardrobes.
In the second bathroom the sink is in stone and on one part of the floor you can admire the original majolica under the floor through a glass plate.

Our apartment is close to Palermo’s Cathedral, Quattro Canti, Palazzo dei Normanni and to Via Maqueda one of the mail commercial avenues of the city that has been recently made a car free area, and this has brought more stores, bars and restaurants in the area. The position is perfect to explore the historical city centre and taste the amazing sicilian cuisine, and visiting two of the main traditional markets of Palermo: Mercato del Capo and Mercato del Ballarò.
The area where the house is located is Ballarò, very central and close to the homonymous traditional market.
A few minutes from our apartment our guests can reach Via Roma, where the airport shuttle stop can be found. Shops, markets and restaurants are all around the neighborhood.
