A villa with a unique style, which reflects in every corner the taste and charm of who personally took care of making it so special: Villa Franca was the home of the late Franca Sozzani, the iconic Vogue Italia Chief Editor, heart and mind of the magazine that has changed the world of fashion forever. She supervised the re-design and refurbishing of the villa herself after she purchased it in the nineties, adding several unique pieces of design and art.
Intimate and exquisitely stylish, the villa is located within the Portofino Park and boasts a breathtaking view of the sea. It is surrounded by centuries-old vegetation that makes the house cool and shady even during the warmest season. It comes with beautiful panoramic terraces that frame the splendid swimming pool overlooking the Gulf of Portofino: in particular, our guests will find a sea view covered terrace surrounded by olive trees, perfect for summer outdoor dinners.
The mansion spreads out on three levels: on the ground floor there is a dining area and a large living room with access to the terrace overlooking the sea and the mountains, communicating with a magnificent library where reading lovers will find a wide variety of volumes and magazines, especially about fashion and design, and a relaxing lounge area with access to the terrace with a panoramic view of Portofino. A fully equipped kitchen completes the ground floor.
Upstairs is the first bedroom, a double room with sea view communicating with a single room, and a shared bathroom.
On the second floor there is a bedroom with a French size bed and private bathroom; from here, a glass door leads to the second panoramic terrace, from which you can enjoy amazing sunsets.
This panoramic terrace is also accessible through the master bedroom, a room of great charm and unique style with a private bathroom with shower.
On the third and last level our guests will find a small lounge area, a bathroom with shower and a room created inside a spectacular veranda, ideal for nature lovers, with access to another furnished terrace.
The property is surrounded by a split-level private garden, and comes with a swimming pool that is made peculiar by an unconventional dark pool bottom matching the furnishings of the house, which, like the most part of the Villa, stands on the highest peak overlooking the Gulf of Portofino, giving our guests a magnificent panoramic view at any angle.
The style of the furniture expresses a deep love for fashion, photography, art and cinema.
This one-of-a-kind jewel will let our guests live an exclusive experience, where style, design and personality play the starring roles.
The property comes with staff for the reorganization of the rooms in the morning, also available for the preparation of breakfasts, depending on the needs of the guests who can decide whether to buy the products for breakfast in advance or to let the staff do so by paying in advance.
We also offer to our guests truly authentic experiences to live like a local. If interested, visit our website wonderfulitaly.eu or contact us and we will be more than happy to help you out designing an unforgettable holiday to discover Italian beauties.
